Bringing inspiration back home: Our trip to Nobilia

October 2025

Last month, the Laings Directline team made the trip to Germany to visit our supplier, Nobilia’s, Open House event, gaining an exclusive look at their latest collections and developments. This immersive visit has given us fresh inspiration - and exciting new offerings - to bring back to our customers in Scotland.

Nobilia continues to stand out for its precision engineering, design leadership and high-quality German craftsmanship. During our visit, we were able to take a deep dive into the trends and new directions that will shape kitchens (and beyond) in the coming seasons.

During our visit, we were introduced to their 2026 range which displayed a range of sleek and stylish designs. From a change in popular colour palettes to a traditional kitchen comeback, there was something to suit every taste, including:

Warmer neutrals and earthy tones:

One of the strongest themes we observed was a shift in the colour palette. Where greys and cool tones have dominated in recent years, Nobilia is increasingly leaning toward sandy browns, warm beiges and soft earthy neutrals. These hues offer a more comforting and natural feel while still maintaining versatility for modern interiors.

The mood is warmer and more organic - ideal for homeowners who want a kitchen that feels timeless yet fresh.

Sophisticated shaker style:

Another notable focus is on the affordable shaker-style kitchen. Nobilia is expanding its offerings in this category - bringing the clean lines, functional elegance and enduring charm of shaker design to a wider audience, without compromising on quality or aesthetics. Perfect for customers who love classic style but want modern practicality. The shaker kitchens on offer were available in four on-trend colours - Olive, Macchiato, Stone Blue and White.

Beyond the kitchen:

This year, Nobilia is pushing beyond its core kitchen offering. The new collection includes a bedroom range, extending their designs into another fundamental part of the home. This move suggests a broader vision - one where kitchen aesthetics, bedroom styling and coordinated furniture pieces speak the same visual language.

Additionally, Nobilia is introducing supplementary furniture pieces such as coffee tables, side units and complementary accessories. These pieces allow for greater continuity in interior design - enabling homeowners to echo kitchen aesthetics into living spaces.
